Game Day Glam

As your favorite college team's season gets underway, the most important question arises in the mind of a fun, fearless female fan...IS THE REF BLIND?! Just kidding it's, "What am I going to wear?" Fortunately, I am a fashionista and not a grid-iron guru so you've come to the right place.

Now, you could just go to a sports store and load up on logo-rific gear...but what's the fun in that? Plus, you're a Suburb Chic girl so you want to stand out. I've come up with several outfits composed of clothes right out of my closet. It's all about the mix, as you'll see. A little high, a little low, a little sporty, a little chic. All WVU! I am a Mounties fan, after all. But if you want advice on how to style yourself for your favorite team, tweet me @suburbchicblog.

Dressed to Win
This mini is perfect for those with a shorter torso, and it's a fun fall transition color that would look gorgeous on any skin tone. If you want to dress it up, opt for navy shoes to match this palette. Another option is to wear navy leggings underneath and white shoes.

Dress: Belk, Necklace: Kohl's, Flip Flops: Old Navy

This Game Will Be A Cinch!
I love this layered look, because it would work for most of football season. The flannel keeps the sexy tank dress casual and playful as well as the bold bangle. A white belt cinches the waist to keep the layers from overwhelming your frame. This would look great on any body type. Below is an unbelted option, just because I liked it haha. PS- I would pair this look with white sandals.

This Look's A Touchdown!
This was my favorite look (as well as my photographer and bestie, Megan Harnish). I love that it's Game Day appropriate without going overboard. Simple and sexy, while being normal enough to wear out after a victory to celebrate! I love the fit of this BCBGeneration top...it has a slight crop in the front and a slouchy fit. Pair with gold accessories and you've got a "W" for Winning (and not in the creepy, Charlie Sheen way). This look would be great with really any color shoes...go sporty with Converse low-tops or glam with a slight wedge sandal.

Top: BCBGeneration, Shorts: Guess, Necklace: Francesca's Collection, Bangles: Forever21

  2. Agree on your favorite - mine too! I like the belted flannel outfit too, but can you wear white after Labor Day? Maybe that trend is a thing of the past...
