Some argue that Valentine's Day is just another Hallmark-holiday to market to sappy couples and love-crazed women for bazillions of dollars. Others say, "Oh we don't celebrate Valentine's Day, because we treat each other like special creatures 365 days of the year". But who cares what they say?! Valentine's Day is awesome. You- meaning the Suburb Chic collective- get to eat as much chocolate as you want, wear pink and red like a little princess, and expect dozens and dozens of roses (not carnations...never carnations).
While I don't have Sherri's Berries on speed dial for ya (or your significant others), I do have plenty of outfit inspiration for this especially Lovey Dovey Day. Which look is your favorite, Sultry or Sweet? Comment below! Or even better...
Head on over to Suburb Chic's Facebook Fan Page and upload your Valentine's Day Inspired Look for all to see and love! My favorite ensemble will win something totally sweet! This contest will run until February 7th (a Thursday). Tell your friends to vote for you by "liking" your picture, too.
Sultry Statement
This Valentine's Day outfit is feminine and alludes to a special day but not so abruptly (see second look for that). Since the fit of this mini is completely body-con, keep accessories quirky but not overpowering (same with hair and makeup). Your man will be admiring your curves while the ladies will be lusting after that gorgeous necklace! I would pair this look with a thin cat eye and soft pink pout.
Necklace- Caroline G. Shop (enter to win one here!!)
Dress- American Apparel
Clutch- Forever 21
Shoes- Missoni (similar here)
Sweetheart Chic
Keep it darling and doll yourself up for V-Day in a heart printed dress with classic accessories, like a chain link quilted purse and big gold knot earrings. This look is a little retro, so coordinate your beauty look with large-barrel waves and a bold brow. This outfit gives a new meaning to sweetheart! :)
Earrings- Kate Spade (similar here)
Dress- Gap (out of stock online, loving this hi-low version)
Handbag- Forever 21
Shoes- Target

That second look is SO cute with those heels!
